WHEN GIANTS FALL; WHAT HAPPENED TO OUR PRAYER WARRIOR.

Final Episode.🎉🔥✨🎊🎉

"It all started some weeks ago." Bro. Charles started. We were back at the library and I only considered it the grace of God that he decided to talk to me.
"I was getting distracted and I knew it. The Holy Spirit flashed warning signals continually, but I kept postponing my meetings with God at the chapel and the amount of time I spent in my quiet time began to decline."

"What was distracting you from God?" I asked.

"A lot of things. My school work, roommates, church meetings, so many things. Those distractions had always been there, but this time, I wasn't wise in handling them."

He paused and shook his head. "I started withdrawing from my prayer partner. I always had a good excuse to shift our prayer days. Then church meetings began to feel long. I would spend hours in the library trying to keep the first class CGPA that I was on, but I began to find it hard to spend quality time with God."
I was touched by the sadness with which he told his story. Who would have taught that a prayer warrior like Bro Charles could ever get distracted from the thing he loved most, from prayer?

"I got very busy with activities in my department. Activities I had once had no interest in. I would spend time making new friends who had no relationship with God and would find time to play football with them. I thought I could always make up for the time I didn't spend with God. I was wrong."
He paused again. His eyes roved the library and his eyelashes fluttered faster than normal.

"Rukewe, is it?" He asked me.

"Yes," I nodded.

"Rukewe," he continued. "The devil gives Adam an apple and takes away paradise. I became too conscious of my academics and got involved with the wrong people. By this time, God left me to see how far I'd go on my own. My new friends introduced me to a lot of things. Harmless at first, but detrimental to my spiritual health."

"Things like what?" I asked.
"
Things like gaming, gyming, competitions. I started spending less time with God and after sometime, it ended all together. I stopped going to fellowship. The saddest part is that I know God's Holy Spirit has left me. I can't pray anymore because I know there would be no answer. I dissapointed God by chasing after things that don't matter. I have built for myself, cisterns that hold no water."

"That's from the book of Jeremiah." I mused.

"I used to have a passion for evangelism. I wanted everyone around me to know Jesus. But the moment I lost focus on God, that passion became very wobbly."

"You can still come back to God, y'know." I said quietly.

He nodded. "I can't imagine the number of people I've disappointed, apart from God. I'm amazed at the kind of prayer warrior I've become."

"It's never too late." I smiled reassuringly. "Satan gave Adam an apple, took away paradise but Jesus regained paradise for him."

"Thanks Rukewe." He breathed as tears lined his eyes. "It's time to find my way back to the cross and build back the altar the devil destroyed.

  5. Waoh. I must say this is a great message for us all as believers to take heed and not allow anything (even His blessings) get between us and God.
Also the part of praying and seeking after falling giants instead of talking about them. May God help us all. God bless you dear. More inspiration to your pen.😘
