A FAT SLIM GIRL 2.

She was the mastermind behind her own downfall. She created her ruin by accepting defeat. She was fat. Nobody could convince her otherwise and the only way she could become truly happy, was to have a perfect body. So she embarked on a self-destructing journey.
On the Net, she had read, the only way to lose weight was to go on a calorie deficit. She began to limit her portions of food. She scarcely ate. Even when her stomach protested to the extent that she developed ulcer. She bottled it all in. Her goal was a beach body. The type she saw on Instagram. Workouts were not a thing to her before, but they became her everything. She worked her body sore on a daily basis and stopped only when she felt like fainting.
Still, she saw fat everywhere. To her, there was no progress. She was not losing anything. She was still the fat, ugly girl people pitied. To her, she needed to do more. So she stopped eating and purchased dangerous laxatives for anytime she made the mistake of putting anything in her mouth. Gradually, her body adjusted and danced to her tune. No food stayed in her stomach. They always came back up ten minutes after she had taken them. She would run to the toilet and throw up without effort, all  the things she had eaten. It became normal, a routine. To eat and throw up. Eat and throw up. Eat and throw up. It was her life and she accepted it.
Very soon, the scale read a dangerous eighty pounds when she stepped on it. But to her, it was not enough. She needed to lose plenty more. To her, she was still fat. She did not yet measure up  to her models on Instagram. So she intensified her efforts. She did not eat and did not drink. She worked out until she fainted and woke up again. Her life was a miserable one trying to lose weight she never had.
Everybody became worried. They knew something was wrong with her. She had become alarmingly slim and resembled a toothpick. Her cheekbones were now too visible. They tried to make her eat, but the food never stayed down, they registered her for counseling and reorientation, but her mind was fixed. She was fat.
Gradually, her internal organs began to malfunction. She could not breathe well and walking was a big challenge. Her hair broke and began to fall off. But she could not understand. A picture of a particular sexy girl on Instagram was etched firmly in her mind. That was her goal.
So she did not understand, when she could no longer breathe well, that her body was packing up. She did not understand, when food could no longer stay in her tummy, that she was a walking corpse. She did not understand, when she could no longer walk, that it was all over. She could not understand that she had gone past beach body to a miserable anorexic teenage girl who had no control over her body.
She could not understand, until it was too late. One day, lying dejectedly on her bed with a very flat and empty stomach and her cream coloured eyeballs looking at the ceiling, she gave up the ghost, the picture of a certain slay queen on Instagram still etched on her mind.

Jewels of the Most High God, never forget that your Heavenly Father created you and when He was done, He smiled and saw that "it was good." Never allow anyone or anything to make you see yourself less than what He thinks of you. You were created in His image. Whichever way you are, you are perfection, His very own masterpiece.👌✨

"I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well." (Psalm 139:14)

  6. Hmm! Very insightful. I learnt that I should not compare myself or look with others. We're all special in our own way

Perfectly put Eunice, let's stop trying to fit into society's mould when the POTTER has already professed that we are masterpieces.
